Terms

The short version

You own what you write. We run the service and try to keep it up. You pay for the people in your workspace. Either of us can end this, and if you do, you can take your writing with you.

Who this is with

These terms are between you and TODO: registered legal name. Using Nex means agreeing to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you are confirming you may do that.

Your account

You need an account, and you are responsible for what happens under it. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and at least 16. Do not share your sign-in.

What you write

It stays yours. We claim no ownership of your pages, comments, uploads or drawings. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store your content, show it to the people you share it with, and serve it publicly if you choose to publish it.

You are responsible for having the right to what you upload, and for what happens when you publish a page — a published page is readable by whoever you chose, and a link, once given out, is out.

What you may not do

• Break the law with it, or use it to harm, harass or defraud.
• Upload malware, or content you have no right to share.
• Attack the service — probing for holes, working around limits, scraping it, or automating it in a way that degrades it for others.
• Resell it as your own product.

We may suspend an account that does these things. Where it is reasonable, we will say why first.

Plans and payment

The free plan holds up to 3 members. Pro is billed per member: $5.99 per person per month, or $59.99 per person per year. A plan belongs to a workspace, not to a person.

Every member of a workspace is a seat. Adding someone increases the subscription immediately and is charged for the days remaining in the current period; removing someone reduces it and credits the remainder. Payments are collected by Dodo Payments, who act as merchant of record — your receipt and any tax due come from them.

Prices may change. If they do, we will tell you before your next renewal so you can decide before being charged.

Cancelling

You may cancel at any time from the receipt Dodo sent you. Your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for and then stops renewing. See our refund policy.

Dropping to the free plan does not delete anything. Members already in the workspace stay, page history older than the free window is hidden rather than removed and returns if you subscribe again, and a page you had restricted to named readers stays restricted.

What we promise, and what we do not

We work to keep Nex available and your data intact, but the service is provided as it is, without warranties. We do not promise it will never be unavailable or never lose data. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose — export is free, on every plan, and takes a click.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited — including, if you are a consumer in the UK or EEA, your statutory rights.

Ending it

You can delete your account whenever you like, from Settings. We may end or suspend an account that breaks these terms, or if we stop running the service — in which case we will give reasonable notice and time to export.

Changes

We may update these terms. For material changes we will give notice before they take effect. Continuing to use Nex after that means accepting them.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of TODO: governing jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections of the law where you live.
