Refunds and cancellation
How to stop paying, what happens next, and when money comes back.

Cancelling
Cancel any time from the receipt Dodo Payments emailed you when you subscribed. There is nothing to ask us for and no retention call to sit through.
Your plan runs to the end of the period you have already paid for, then stops renewing. You are not charged again.
What happens to your writing
Nothing is deleted when a plan ends. The workspace drops to the free plan, which means:
- Everyone already in the workspace stays — nobody is removed.
- Page history older than the free window is hidden, not destroyed, and comes back in full if you subscribe again.
- A published page you had restricted to named readers stays restricted. Ending a plan never makes a private page public.
- Export stays free, on every plan. You can take everything with you at any point.
The 14-day right of withdrawal (UK and EU)
If you are a consumer in the UK or the EEA you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. Because Nex is a digital service that starts the moment you subscribe, you are asked to agree that it begins immediately — and doing so gives up that right once the service has been supplied.
In practice we do not hold people to that. If you are inside 14 days, write to us and we will refund you.
Other refunds
Outside that window, subscriptions are generally not refundable — you keep the service to the end of the period you paid for. We will make an exception where it is obviously right, including:
- A duplicate or clearly accidental charge.
- A renewal you did not intend, if you tell us reasonably soon after it was taken and have not used the service since.
- A prolonged outage that stopped you using what you paid for.
Ask, and explain what happened. We would rather refund somebody than have them feel cheated.
Adding and removing people
Seats are prorated. Adding somebody mid-period is charged only for the days remaining; removing them credits the days left over against your subscription. These are adjustments to a live subscription rather than refunds, and they happen automatically.
How a refund is paid
Refunds go back to the original payment method through Dodo Payments, who processed the charge. How long it takes to appear is your bank's business, but it is usually a few working days.
Asking
Write to TODO: contact@yourdomain with the email address you subscribed with. Referring to the receipt Dodo sent you makes it faster.
